hehe yeahhh finally you're as old as me! haa. but don't feel too old. remember what i texted you about? lol. hope to see you (and the rest) for Raya or something. :D
alright so. i've been tuning in to Warna this whole week. man i feel old. but i was only looking forward to the raya songs. it make me feel more motivated to clean the house.. which is still in a terrible mess. -_- but really, i'm anticipating for the arrival of Syawal that's just around the corner! idk why i'm so up for it this year. maybe because i think that i've done well during this Ramadhan so far. not that i've done much of community work (i only did one), or do much of terawih.. i guess i'm just proud of myself for the fact that i barely skip my 5 time wajib prayers! i sound/feel so holy. hmm but we'll see what happens in the months to come.. i'm guessing i might make a u-turn from all this. boo..
speaking of Ramadhan, i miss breaking fast at the relatives' house every weekend. you see, in the previous years of the fasting month, my family, including another 5 families from my mom's side, will iftar together at each other's house every weekend.
the first weekend will be at the granparents' house, followed by ours, and the following weekends will be at the other 5 remaining families'. so there'll be about 28 people at each house -- us cousins and our parents, and nyai and yai. the food was always awesome, we'd give a round of applause to Ika's family coz they always, always arrive minutes after the azan (lol), then we'd do terawih together which can be.. erm a knee-wobbling situation, coz my uncle who led the prayers tend to recite long surahs.. so yeah. we'd help ourselves to the food after that and me and the cousins would just.. idk, hang out and gossip and have fun. but i can vividly recall myself making multiple trips to the kitchen just to munch on something. can't help it.
bottom line: this sorta thing very gerek you know.
it sucks that we don't do that anymore though. i'm not sure about the following years of course but we sure din't this year. i guess most of us are all so busy already.. what with the younger cousins are growing so fast.. let's see.. the 2 youngest cousins are.. Sec 1 this year. i think. MY GOD SEC 1?! that is fast. their mindset must be a little wiser now, can't fool them with silly little things like we all love to do to little kids and toddlers, tsk tsk.
well moving on, Dear and i thought we'd get tickets to catch the F1 race. coz his dad is involved with the event, so we thought his dad might get some free tickets or something and we decided to go if he gets it. but nooo. meh.
