the JPAE registration's opened since last Thursday, and since then, i've been thinking hard about the 5 choices of courses i'd like to apply for. honestly speaking, i wasn't exactly sure of what course i'd like to take up, though one thing for sure is it has got to do something with IT/media, or design stuff. and we all know that the IT/media is branched out to many various categories, and that's when i had trouble deciding exactly what i want. i've made lotsa changes, spent a lot of time on the application site thinking, when Dear (who also applied for Poly) only took like a mere 20mins. lol.
this was what i applied for yesterday:
Choice #1: NYP Multimedia & Infocomm Technology
Choice #2: RP Interactive & Digital Media
Choice #3: SP Creative Media Design
Choice #4: NYP Info-Tech
Choice #5: TP Media & Communication Technology
i wasn't actually happy with the decision above. in fact i still had doubts that night, just reading of the choices i'd made which i had printed out. and just a few minutes agoafter making various back-and-forth visits to almost all the Poly sites to read an overview of certain courses, i've finally made up my mind and am pretty satisfied and content with my new decision:
Choice #1: RP Interactive and Digital Media
Choice #2: SP Experience Design
Choice #3: SP Creative Media Design
Choice #4: NYP Info-Tech
Choice #5: NYP Multimedia & Infcomm Technology
i reeeaaalllyy hope i'd get into RP. well of course, otherwise why would i pick them as my first choice, right? after taking up Info-Tech in ITE, i'm sure i'm able to cope in Multimedia & Infocomm Tech if i get into NYP considering that the modules/subjects covered in NYP are pretty much similar as the ones in ITE which i had already learned. but i want something new, something fun and something i'm really interested in. something like the one RP has. and also the ones SP has to offer. the future careers that RP & SP have listed out in the respective courses also sound promising enough, though i have teeny weeny doubts about it since i'm not sure how info-tech/media-savvy Singapore really is. but i hope and i'm sure i'll get a nice job somewhere (locally i mean) that actually is related to what i am or will study. coz right now i'm reminded of my course's industrial attachment programme last year which seriously, has got nothing to do with IT. -_-" but the pay wasn't so bad though. lol.
ahh enough about school. right now i'll just have to pray damn hard to get into at least any one of my top 3 choices. and pray damn harder for Dear too! result will be out on April 4th, so in the meantime, after i graduate from ITE to be precise, i might just find a temporary job.. god i can't keep pestering my mom for money just to support me in that bloody rising transport fare. i'm fucking 20 already! geez.
